FrameBoost GFX
Privacy Policy for FrameBoost GFX
Effective Date: August 02, 2026
Last Updated: September 09, 2026
This Privacy Policy describes how FrameBoost GFX (package name: com.frameboost.gfx) (“we”, “our”, or “the App”) handles information when you use our Android application.
By installing or using FrameBoost GFX, you agree to this Privacy Policy. If you do not agree, please uninstall and stop using the App.
Who We Are
FrameBoost GFX is an independent mobile utility that helps users apply local graphics/FPS configuration preset files for supported games on Android. The App is not affiliated with, endorsed by, or connected to any game publisher.
Information We Collect
2.1 Information stored only on your device
The App stores the following locally on your device using Android SharedPreferences / private app storage:
Selected game preference
Target FPS preference (60 / 90 / 120)
Play style preference
Onboarding and splash completion flags
Folder access URI (if you grant Storage Access Framework permission)
Engagement preferences (for example apply streak, apply count, recent apply labels, and checklist ticks)
This information is used only to personalize the App and remember your settings. It is not uploaded to our own servers because we do not operate backend servers that store your preferences.
The App may also read basic device information locally (such as device model, RAM, storage, and Android version) only to display performance information on the Home screen. This data is processed on your device and is not sent to us.
2.2 Information we do NOT collect
We do not create user accounts and we do not intentionally collect:
Name, phone number, or postal address
Exact GPS location
Contacts, SMS, call logs, or photo gallery content (except files you manually select)
Payment or banking details
Game account credentials or login details
2.3 Internet, Firebase Remote Config, and advertisements
The App requests internet access for:
Google Firebase Remote Config – to download simple configuration values we publish (for example whether to open an optional website URL, and which URL to open). Defaults are OFF and an empty URL.
Google AdMob advertisements – the App contains ads (banner, interstitial, rewarded, and app-open formats). AdMob may use the advertising ID on your device where permitted by Android and Google policies.
Optional actions you start – for example opening Play Store feedback, or opening a website URL when Remote Config is enabled.
Google’s processing of Firebase / AdMob / Play services data is also governed by Google’s own privacy policies:
https://policies.google.com/privacy
https://support.google.com/admob/answer/6128543
2.4 Files you choose to use
If you use Apply or Custom Upload features, the App may read or write files you select, or files in folders you authorize (for example game SaveGames / Active.sav related files). These actions happen on your device (or via optional Shizuku access) for the App’s core function only. Game files are not uploaded to our servers.
2.5 Installed app detection
The App may check whether supported games (and optionally Shizuku) are installed, so it can show install status and guide setup. This check happens locally on your device.
Permissions Used
Internet – Firebase Remote Config, AdMob ads, and optional website / store links
Advertising ID (AD_ID) – used by Google AdMob where permitted
Storage Access Framework / folder access – only when you grant access to apply settings
Optional Shizuku permission – if you choose one-tap apply on Android 11+
Installed app queries – to detect supported games and Shizuku on your device
Core FPS/GFX apply still works on-device; internet is used for ads, Remote Config, and optional external links.
How We Use Information
Information is used only to:
Provide App features (FPS/GFX apply flow, preferences, uploads)
Remember your selected game and FPS goal
Display device performance information on the Home screen
Show ads through Google AdMob
Fetch Remote Config values and, when enabled, open a configured website
Improve your in-app experience on future launches
We do not sell your personal information for marketing profiles or automated credit/eligibility decisions.
Data Sharing
We do not sell your personal information.
Limited processing / sharing may occur only when:
Google Firebase processes Remote Config network requests
Google AdMob serves ads and may process advertising identifiers as described by Google
You choose to open a website URL (that site’s own privacy policy applies)
You choose to open the Play Store to leave feedback (handled by Google Play)
You choose to install or use Shizuku (handled by the Shizuku app)
Android system services process folder-picker or permission dialogs you initiate
Data Retention
Local preferences remain on your device until you clear app data or uninstall the App. Folder access permissions remain until you revoke them in Android Settings or uninstall the App. Remote Config values may be cached on device and refreshed when the App fetches updates. Ad-related data processed by Google is retained according to Google’s policies.
Children’s Privacy
FrameBoost GFX is not directed to children under 13 (or the minimum age required in your country). We do not knowingly collect personal information from children. If you believe a child has provided personal information through the App, contact us and we will take appropriate steps.
Security
We take reasonable steps to protect information processed by the App through Android’s app sandbox. However, no method of electronic storage or transmission is 100% secure. You are responsible for keeping your device secure and reviewing permissions you grant.
Your Choices
You can:
Revoke folder or Shizuku permissions in Android Settings
Limit ad personalization in your Google / Android advertising settings
Clear app storage/cache
Uninstall the App at any time
Contact us with privacy questions
Because we do not store your preferences on our own servers, most privacy requests can be fulfilled by clearing app data or uninstalling the App.
Third-Party Services
The App may use or open:
Google Firebase Remote Config
Google AdMob
Google Play (when you open feedback / store links)
Shizuku (optional, separate third-party tool)
Websites opened via Custom Tabs / WebView when Remote Config is enabled
Those services are governed by their own privacy policies.
Disclaimer
FrameBoost GFX is an independent utility and is not affiliated with, endorsed by, or connected to any game publisher. The App applies local configuration files only. Results may vary by device and game version. Use of the App is at your own risk and must comply with applicable laws and the terms of any games you use.
Changes to This Policy
We may update this Privacy Policy from time to time. The “Last Updated” date at the top will change when we do. Continued use of the App after updates means you accept the revised policy. The latest policy is also available inside the App under More → Privacy Policy.
